As a PTA we're non-partisian, so in order to support any legislation, we have to vote on it. The ACPTA, or Austin Council of PTA's, can only support leglistation if the PTA's that comprise the Austin Council support the measure.
Tonight we have a Special Virtual PTA Meeting on School Funding and Proposition A in order to learn more and decide if as a PTA we support it. Our trustee, Dr. David Kauffman, will be our guest, to provide information and answer any questions. We must have a quorum of 10 members at the meeting in order to vote. Nory will be our delegate to the ACPTA and cast our vote in favor or against Proposition A.
Click the graphic below to register and receive the Zoom link. After the meeting we'll break out into a new room as a PTA and vote on the measure. Thank you for your engagement and participation on this very important issue.
*This is a meeting with our own trustee, and the schools in his District, but it's open to all schools. If you cannot make this meeting, please consider attending another one to inform yourself, but you won't be able to vote unless you are at our meeting on September 30th.
