AISD has adopted a new medication policy over the summer. All medications are now required to have a provider's signature or written prescription. This change should not affect our families with emergency medications for allergies, asthma, seizures, or diabetes as these medications are included on the orders and emergency plans already. It will affect those that take daily medications and any over the counter medications during the school day. We still need our parents to sign a medication authorization form. Your child's provider can either sign the parent authorization form or provide their own form. Please also note that prescription labels will now need a provider's signature as well. The health room is available for any questions. We are happy to take any medications this week if that is better for your schedule. Please give us a call to set up a time at 512-841-8908. Medications do need to be transferred from adult to adult at this age. All forms are available on our website under the health room section (middle right of the page) https://baldwin.austinschools.org/
Looking forward to a great year, Trisha Krogstad, BSN, RN, NCSN
