Dear Baldwin Community,
As we begin another exciting school year, I am thrilled to introduce myself as your new Baldwin PTA President! My name is Autumn Kippes, and I've been part of the Baldwin family since 2019 – my covid kindergartner is entering middle school this year *tear*. My daughter Calla is in third grade, and my son Cayden is in sixth grade at Gorzycki. When I'm not at school events, you'll likely find me cheering at the kids' sports games, working my full-time IT job, or attempting to recreate something crafty I spotted online (with varying degrees of success!).
Whether you're a new family joining our community or returning Bobcats, I extend a warm welcome to each of you. The start of a school year brings fresh opportunities for growth, friendship, and learning together.
Our PTA plays a vital role in enhancing the educational experience at Baldwin. As a 501(c)(3) charity, we fund numerous essential resources that directly benefit our students and teachers, including:
- Teacher reimbursements ($150 per teacher)
- Library funding
- PE equipment
- Snack closet
- Reading support
- Science tools
- Family nights
- Teacher professional development
- Computer software
- Copier rental for the teacher workroom
- And much more!
I invite everyone—parents, guardians, grandparents, and community members—to join the PTA this year. Your $10 membership fee goes directly toward these important initiatives. Remember that memberships need to be renewed annually, even if you joined last year.
When you join the PTA, you show your child the value you place on their education. While volunteering isn't required with membership, we welcome any time or talents you can share. Members can vote at meetings, providing input on how we support our school. Most importantly, you'll connect with other families and become an even more integral part of our wonderful Baldwin community.
I look forward to meeting many of you throughout the year as we work together to make Baldwin Elementary the best it can be for our children!
Kind, Thoughtful, and Bold regards,
Autumn Kippes
Baldwin PTA President
