Mad Science

Mad Science programs are designed with exciting, fun, and hands-on science activities. Your child will become a junior scientist, having the opportunity to experience a variety of hands-on adventures. Children will design, create, build and assemble a variety of interesting projects. Many different themes are available including NASA, robots, engineering, spies, yuckology, invention, and more! Ages 5-12. Programs starting in January and through the Summer. Girlstart Summer Camp

We can’t wait to host our nationally-recognized week-long STEM summer camps just for girls entering 4th-8th grades!

Camp Hermione (rising 4th-5th & 6th-8th)
June 7-11, June 14-18, June 21-25, June 28-July 2
Calling all muggles! Channel your inner Hermione Granger as you discover chemical reactions in Potions class, design a catapult in Defense Against the Dark Arts, construct a sturdy tower to watch Quidditch, and 3D print the Hogwarts castle. Rising 4th-5th graders will analyze mystery powder and create their own TriWizard marble maze, while rising 6th-8th graders will decode secret messages and make unique chocolate frog cards.

Secrets of Super Girl (rising 4th-5th)

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No, it’s Girlstart’s Super Girl! Program your superhero to save the day, design armor like Wonder Woman’s, create a unique symbol of courage, engineer a far-flying hang glider, and explore how to channel supersonic sounds. Learn the secrets behind your favorite hero’s powers and discover your inner superhero strength.

Explore the physics behind a gymnast’s twists, create a leaper to compete in the high and long jump, and design the next Olympic torch.
