Miss Tegeler has requested $650.00 to attend the Get Your Teach On National Teacher Conference.  This conference is held in July 2024.

At this four-day grade specific training, filled with research based and hands-on workshops presented by some of today's top educators, she hopes to learn how to help students independently craft clear and strong sentences that bring their ideas to life in a meaningful way and to help students move through the writing process and build their confidence as writers. She also hopes to learn how to elevate her small group instruction to pull fluid, data-driven small groups and execute real-time instructional decisions so that students can practice targeted skills at their level. She will come back with strategies on how to create learning centers that align with specific learning targets to better improve data-collecting, student differentiation, engagement, and enrichment.

This information will be shared with my team through PLC and the planning process. The team would benefit from the small groups portion of the training, as small groups are such an essential part of both reading and math instruction.

By going to this conference, students will benefit by having a teacher with a better understanding of the kindergarten writing process and new skills to help them grow as writers. Students will also benefit by having more intentional centers that offer not only differentiation, but enrichment as well. Lastly, students will benefit by being in intentionally formed small groups made through real-time data driven instructional decisions.
